G'day downhillers and welcome to the 2011-2012 Kona Victorian Downhill Series.

As you may have already guessed Kona have returned to the start gate as the title sponsors for this season of epic downhill racing in Australia's premier Downhill Race Series! This year includes some old favourites and some new tracks as well as some heavily modified ones. There is also $50,000 is cash and prizes up for grabs again this series.

Online rego will save you time and MONEY this series. As an added bonus all online entries will go into the draw to with a refund of your race entry fees at each round.

We'll be tackling Turbulence at the You Yangs (22-23 October) after a year off due to flood damage it'll be great to hit up this super rocky, super fast track again, plenty of surprises instore if you have not been to the park since it re-opened.

We then head to Mt Major (5-6 November) to visit the guys at GVMTB club near Shepparton, if you missed this one last year, you missed out on a really good fun track, with amzing viewing for spectators and excellent organisation and facilities.

Then in December (3rd & 4th) we go over to see Team Mt Beauty to hit a fresh version of the 'Nationals' track, word on the street is that it's pretty tech!

There's a bit of a break over Christmas then it's the turn of FTFDH to host the ubiquitous round at Mt Buller, international is the track of choice and having a chairlift is always good.

Now there's a break to get through 'bushfire season' then FTFDH are hosting the State Champs at Narbethong (10-11 March). This is the longest track in Victoria, check out the helmet cam on youtube.

Then in April we're off to the Goldfields and a visit to Maldon for the series final. This is a super good fun track with some awesome berms, jumps and heaps of rocks so take some spare tubes!

Then April 21st will be the Presentation day, another chance to ride your bikes and kick back with a few beers and a barbie. The venue is to be confirmed so stay tuned!

See you at the races... Life's better, riding the trail less travelled!
